World renowned writer-director and performance-creator Firenza Guidi teams up with international performer Simone Riccio and Canadian artist Alan Hindle to give life to an exciting project which will combine different artistic media: visual arts, circus, performance, street theatre and theatre.
Fusing art, science and live performance and circus, the aim of the project is to make science more accessible and appealing to children, students and a wider audience by providing a new and exciting platform from which to explore all three disciplines in an interactive and creative way.
The project will have its first showing at the Art & Tourism Exhibition at Fortezza da Basso in Florence on Saturday 19th May 2012. Throughout the afternoon, there will be an on-going programme of live drawings of the "corpus mirabilis", carried out by international painter and artist Alan Hindle. There will also be 3 scheduled moments of live performances at 3pm, 6pm and 9pm.
It is our desire that the project will continue through creative residences in 2012 and 2013 that will include collaborations with 3 International Museums: Città della Scienza in Naples; Techniquest, in Cardiff, Wales; and the Educational Department of the Louvre in Paris.
