In Fucecchio, Florence, in the renovated space of the former olive press (frantoio), in the Corsini Farm complex. This is where ELAN (European Live Arts Network), the international company of performative arts founded in 1989 in Cardiff, Wales, by Firenza Guidi and David Murray, is based in Italy. The collaboration between Firenza Guidi and the City of Fucecchio began in 1994 and 10 years later the Frantoio was born: a permanent centre of performative arts under the Artistic Direction of Firenza Guidi.
The existence of a permanent structure, constantly in touch with the other creative centres in and outside Europe and included in ELAN network, has given the possibility, throughout the years, to organize cultural and artistic events, always aware of the influences coming from abroad.
