The workshop will be lead by brothers Aidan and Jem Treays. It will explore the theme "The adult body in the child's space". Each session will start with a technique class/warm up which will incorporate both set material and improvisation. Through the use of observation, copying, games and improvisation we will create theatre material that is sensual, humorous and at times violent.
We will spend time to discover our own body patterns from different life events and place them in different contexts as a method to expose the dialogue between movement and environment and to seek out theatrical narrative and character.
We will work towards creating a short work that is constructed of a set of solos and duets.
Jem and Aidan will also be working on some new ideas which they will present at the end of the week in the performance "Finding Enrique".
