A project conceived and directed by Firenza Guidi, in collaboration with the Year 4 pupils of the Carducci School in Fucecchio and the Frantoio theatre company
William Shakespeare’s world-famous story, Romeo and Juliet, is used as a metaphor to explore the concepts of diversity, belonging and peace education. Guided by director Firenza Guidi and her experienced team, the children will follow a programme in English that introduces them to the story and the themes at hand, whilst feeling like a game. The game is called Romeo & Juliet and, without realising it, the children speak English, interact in English, and in the process receive theatre training, learn about history and literature and, above all, get involved!
