We are in the Dream Factory. On one hand, reality is torn to pieces; only what is needed to shoot the scene exists. Then everything is taken apart; it is temporary, unfinished. Behind the facades of the buildings, there is only a scaffolding of steel tubes and a stagehand eating a sandwich. The scenes are built and dismantled out of thin air, like clay. Everything is constructed, yet these slices of imagination are truer than reality itself. There is no single story guiding the show; it will be like stepping into the Cinecittà Studios: different scenes overlap, and among them we recognize Fellini’s most famous ones, but what we will experience on stage are the true dreams of the performers who wrote and drew during the show’s creation, just as the director did. This Cinecittà creates dreams starting from dreams.
