Marked

There are many ways in which a body can be "marked": a black eye, a punch, a scar, a scratch, a burn. All these can be seen and touched.They are embroideries and carvings in one's skin which hold and seal memory. Others, as deep as they are invisibile, stem from the performer's life. They in-form his or her stage presence which is made of ploughed memory. Theatre is body, voice and that unknown thing called presence. In this new and intensive workshop/ creation participants will discover and design a body map which tells and recounts an inner narrative. The workshop opens a new season of workshops and performances on the theme of violence against women and domestic violence.
