The project is intended for performers with some/good level of circus skills (any discipline) who want to explore and extend their performance range whilst engaging in a creative process and being exposed to a new performance language. Under the Artistic Direction of Firenza Guidi, the project takes the form of a 5-day intensive residency involving performance-training work as well as research and development of individual pieces. You will be developing your performance skills as part of the ensemble work and creative process as well as focusing on your solo work. This 5- day workshop/project is intended for circus performers who want to work on or freshen up their "acts"; circus performers who are stuck or bored with their pieces; or others who have bits and pieces of material but they haven't put it together.

The workshop culminates in a public work-presentation/performance on Saturday 30 June.

The workshop is not intended to create a ready-made show for each participant but to give an initial impulse and direction for future research and development.

Firenza Guid is writer/director of all incarnations of Immortal and Tabu for NoFit State Circus. In August 2011, again with NoFit State, she directed Labyrinth, a site-specific performance to celebrate the 10th year of the Eden Project in Cornwall.
