An airplane crashes on a remote island.
The only survivors are members of a choir.
Circus, musical and performance team up to help the the survivors create a new form of community based on body language, sound and music. This outrageously entertaining workshop/creation is aimed at circus performers and teachers, singers, musicians, dancers, actors and anybody with a desire to explore a new performance language, plunging the individual into an intensive, 360 degrees creative journey.
The full-time creative residency is directed at performers with a good level of circus skills who may want to explore and expand their performance by engaging in a challenging and fascinating creative process. Directed by Firenza Guidi, the workshop/creation is structured as an intensive 7-day residency, including ensemble and solo work, as well as research and development focused on the individual performer. Participants will have the opportunity to be stretched and expand their circus skills whilst absorbing Guidi's performance language and methodology.
Firenza Guidi is auteur, director and creator of a unique performative language. Her method is built around structured improvisation and creative impulses which inspire, encourage and develop performers' potential whilst giving them a great deal of creative freedom. Guidi has created circus performances throughout the world. The shows she has created for Nofit State Circus (UK): Immortal, Tabù and more recently, Bianco have contributed to put the Wales-based company on the international map.
