How do we deal with elephants appearing in our lives? How do we deal with wonder and the unexpected, be it good or bad news? Is there a pattern for the elephant to appear? Every 7 years? Every 5 or 10? Do these elephants come by themselves or do we cajole them into our lives? How long do they stay? And when the elephant is gone, what's left behind?
