The project is born from the desire to explore a man-woman relationship through the language of hand-to-hand, adagio, acro-balance and acrobatic bicycle.

They are a couple having a sensual, adult rapport without losing innocence, freshness and jouissance. Their relationship is not worn out, problem-ridden, broken or decomposed, but still thrilled and excited by the desire to look for each other.

All this is the soul of the relation. As it often happens, the rapport is also a game: the game between two children having a power game. And the game is also to take the piss out of each other; to have irony and an insatiable thirst for life.

Ultimately, their relationship allows us to see the world through the eyes of this extraordinary couple: like an unstoppable life-merry- go-round where the weak and strong take turns. Even the things that trouble deep down are somehow "resolved" through a physical contact: a body, a fight, a game, a run, a jump, a violent embrace.

Him and her are intelligent animals, but they are not afraid, occasionally, of looking more stupid than they really are. This is also a richness: their ability to play on the physical and metaphorical idea of heaviness and lightness as the "unbearable lightness of being".

The performance/research starts with the encounter of Alice Roma and Damiano Fumagalli and Firenza Guidi in June 2010. This leads to a mutual trust relationship which develops into a creation and research project organized in different work phases. They then begin the collaboration for the creation of "Dirty Laundry/Linge Sale", whose opening is scheduled for February/March 2012.
