I suspend time, bodies, belief; I suspend the moment, and in that moment everything is possible, as if that moment alone were the crossroads of life itself.
The act of suspension becomes an exploration, a metaphor and a creative space in which time stands still and matter becomes an ever-changing collaboration between earth, air and the idea. Circus and performance combine with the performer’s technique to create form and dramaturgy in a new creative language. This fascinating exploration is particularly aimed at circus artists and anyone wishing to explore a theatrical language that immerses the individual in an intense, all-encompassing creative journey.
Firenza Guidi is an author, director and creator of a unique performative language. Her method is built around structured improvisation and creative impulses that inspire, encourage and develop the potential of performers, giving them great creative freedom. Firenza Guidi has created circus shows all over the world. The shows she has created for NoFit State Circus (UK) – Immortal, Tabù and, more recently, Bianco – have helped to establish the Welsh company on the international stage.
