Conceived and directed by Firenza Guidi in collaboration with the Leonardo Da Vinci secondary school and the local councils of Cerreto Guidi and Vinci
Lago senza Lacrime is a performance conceived and directed by Firenza Guidi, in collaboration with the Leonardo Da Vinci secondary school and the local councils of Cerreto Guidi and Vinci. The project involves all Year 9 classes from the secondary schools in Cerreto Guidi, Vinci and Sovigliana, totalling 228 young people. The company will therefore consist of around 230 very young performers, joined by a technical team of around 20 young interns, both Italian and international, guided by professionals in areas including: set design, lighting, stage management, costumes, digital technology, percussion, music and sound engineering, press office and public relations.
Lago senza Lacrime draws on the training and production experience developed over many years by Firenza Guidi and consolidated by the companies Elan Wales and Elan Frantoio, based respectively in Cardiff, Wales, and at the Frantoio headquarters in Parco Corsini, Fucecchio. The project involves the collaboration of artists and technicians at local, national and international levels.
To coincide with the performance, the exhibition ‘The Wall at the End of the World’ will be presented, the result of a first-hand experience visiting the Ravensbrück and Buchenwald extermination camps. The photographs on display were taken by Renzo Belli and other participants on the trip.
