A performance conceived and directed by Firenza Guidi, inspired by a journey to the camps at Terezin and Ebensee
Inspired by their journey, the students become performers and undertake *The Journey*, and the audience journeys with them. An epic, highly visual performance, a cinematic montage that orchestrates masses of moving bodies, and the audience moves with these bodies. The venue for the event is the former Enny handbag factory; a place which, with its entrance, glass cubicles and succession of rooms, by its very nature already speaks and evokes echoes that transform it into another place – not Terezin in particular, not that concentration camp, but one that serves as a metaphor for them all. Not some sort of prodigious machine, but, in the words of Marco, another young man involved in the project, “simple structures that exterminated millions and millions of people. How did they do it?”.
