Imagine falling asleep on a summer evening.
And
Imagine waking up one morning in a white room.
So far, nothing strange.
Imagine not knowing what day it is
What time it is
Or what month or year
Whether you are old or a child
Whether you are alive or passing through a parallel world.
Imagine looking at yourself in the mirror
Scrutinising yourself from head to toe
The last time you saw yourself, you had short hair Now it is long, very long
Apparently
nothing has changed
Your face, your features Nothing broken No visible metamorphosis No scars, cuts or burns that could give you any clues
Yet I am no longer myself
How much time has passed?
A month, a day, a year
It seems like a moment or even a century
I find myself in a white bed.
